I just wanted to mention (very quietly so as to not attract the attention of the powers of the universe that punish boastful blog posts) that Laurel seems to be ready to sleep through the night again. She has done it for the last two nights. The night before last, in fact, she slept for 11 hours and 46 minutes! If I count this as a completely unbroken stretch of sleep, it sets the record as her third-longest ever. Well, she did wake up once, around 2:00 a.m., when she cried half-heartedly for a minute and a half. But before I could get myself out of bed, she fell asleep on her own. Hooray!
It's about time. She hadn't had a really great night's sleep in more than 20 days, ever since the triple upsets of our trip to the opposite coast, my overnight stay away from her, and her first tooth.
