Resemblance

You may recall that I have written about Laurel's resemblance to her namesake, Craig's maternal grandmother, as well as to Craig. (I have, of course, also written about Isaac's resemblance to Craig.)

But does she also resemble me? Well, here is a typical remark people make to me on this subject: "Does she look like her dad, then?"

So I guess not.

The closest resemblance I see between myself and Laurel is one of expression. She looks like me not when she's smiling (then she looks exactly like Craig's mother, which is a subject for another post), but when she is bemused or deep in thought. For some reason those pursed lips and furrowed brow look familiar:





Don't you think so? Or am I just kidding myself?
