More audio books

As I mentioned earlier this summer, Isaac often listens to audio books on his own while I'm off nursing Laurel in her room. (Otherwise his presence would disturb her.)

I get the audio books for him at the library. When I was a children's librarian I used to make a living by recommending books I hadn't read to children I didn't know, but when I choose audio books for Isaac I get those I have actually read myself. (This is not difficult for me, as I have read about a million children's chapter books.) I figure since Isaac often listens to the books by himself, I should be at least vaguely aware of their content.

That's why I had context when Isaac recently asked for definitions of the following terms:

  • Darkest Peru
  • Connecticut
  • liverwurst
  • long-hair

- - - - -

Based on these terms, can you guess what two books he has been listening to? Leave a comment if you know!
