Last night Izzy set the record for the longest continuous stretch of time he has slept: 10 hours, 48 minutes.* This beats his previous record by two hours.
Partial credit for this record is due to me -- usually whenever he sleeps more than about seven hours straight, I wake up uncomfortably full of milk, so I get him up to nurse him. For some reason last night I didn't wake up, although it was not from lack of milk.
Do I feel well-rested this morning? Not especially, as I went to sleep around midnight and Isaac woke me up before 7:00 a.m. I think it's better for my sleep if he gets up to nurse once around 3:30 a.m., because then there's a good chance we can both sleep late in the morning. There have been six days in the past two weeks when he slept past 8:00 a.m.
*I think he did wake up at least once last night, as I have a sleepy memory of him crying out briefly, but we don't count it as an official wake-up in Trixie Tracker unless our intervention is required to put him back to sleep.
