Now that Isaac usually has just a single nap, I need to more carefully plan how I spend that time. Here's a look at the naps of this past week:
Monday 10 minutes - I spent it driving -- and cursing the car nap
Tuesday 1 hour, 39 minutes Wednesday 1 hour, 36 minutes
Thursday 2 hours, 32 minutes
- I spent it napping and reading
Why so lazy today, you ask? (Or you would ask if you were a mean
person.) I was trapped in the family bed! We don't usually co-sleep, but Isaac has a cold. Because of the cold we both had a bad night's sleep last night, so when he was having trouble napping today I thought we might as well nap together in my bed. Great idea -- a little
too great. He slept ... and slept ... and slept! Eventually I just couldn't sleep any longer, but I couldn't get up, either, since I didn't want him to fall out of bed when he woke up.
Don't get me wrong -- I don't mind taking a break, but spending so many hours in bed in the middle of the day was not the most productive use of my time. It gave me a dazed feeling that persists even three hours later.
