Useful words

... range from the practical
  • Diaper
  • Toilet
  • Pee
  • Poop
  • Garbage
  • Dirty
to the polite
  • More
  • Please
Don't get your hopes up. It's not like he says diaper when he needs a change; he simply can tell us what the object is. However, I don't think he knows what pee or poop really are, even though he says the words appropriately; he just knows that they're words associated with diapering and the toilet. In more polite news, he just learned please yesterday, and although he says it indistinctly, it's still pretty exciting!

Strangely, all of his speech is growing more indistinct and he sometimes incorrectly says words he used to know. Is he experimenting with pronunciation variants? Growing lazy with his enunciation? Or is this like Flowers for Algernon and slowly he will begin to forget all the words he has learned?
