We're small potatoes here at TCB -- we've been averaging just 20 visitors and 30 pageloads per day. Originally most of the traffic was people who read the blog on a regular basis, but just recently the number of first-time visitors has begun to equal (or slightly outnumber) the returning visitors. This is partly because the number of visitors finding this site via Google has increased. Unfortunately I think many of these people visited in error -- at least based on their search keywords, most of which seem irrelevant to my blog. As a librarian, I find this sad and disturbing. (Public service announcement: Are you having trouble constructing a productive search query? Remember, you can call your public library and get help from an information professional for free!) As a blogger, however, I find it entertaining.
The last time I analyzed the search keywords used to locate this blog, I was only getting a few visitors referred by search engines, and I concluded those hits were mostly from (1) people trying to define TCB and (2) people looking for child-related medical information. Those two types of people are still stopping by, but so are many other folks. I've been saving up more than two months' worth of search engine referrals to share with you (although I've deleted the duplicate searches). My visitors are:
