On Thursday, Isaac said his real name for the first time. He says it very well, and I think he knows that he does -- he probably wouldn't be saying it unless he could say it right.
Regular readers will recollect the alternative names that resulted from his reluctance to attempt the ess sound. He hasn't quite stopped using these other names -- this weekend he said "Baby do!" when he wanted to do something himself, and he called me "Ike mama" yesterday.
Now that he can pronounce ess, he needs to update the rest of his vocabulary. Maybe he'll start saying bus instead of but. It's pretty funny, though, when he sees a large bus -- he points and excitedly proclaims "Big but!"
