New pictures

Quite a few new pictures added to the album.

My brother (and housemate) Joel is finally home again -- what with one tour or another, he hasn't been home for more than a couple of weeks since November. And these five months have been transformative for Isaac -- in November, he was still crawling every once in a while, and he wasn't speaking in any comprehensible fashion -- so even though Joel followed along with Isaac's development via this blog, he has had to adjust to the fact that he left behind a baby but returned to a toddler.

We wondered if Isaac would remember Joel after such a long separation, but based on Isaac's immediately friendly welcome, I think he does -- he's otherwise slow to warm up to strange men. He also immediately began saying "Uncle Joel," although it comes out a little garbled, and based on the frequency with which he says it, I think he really likes Joel.

To be honest, Isaac's memories of Joel may have been bolstered by the fact that during Joel's absence, we'd periodically go into his room and look at his guitar -- as you can see by this photo, Izzy really likes the guitar. In fact, Joel's real instrument is the bass, but when he plays it for Isaac (or tells him, "The bass is the coolest instrument ever"), Isaac counters with a demanding "Gi-taw!"
