Much as Saint Sebastian is always shown being pierced by arrows, and Saint Francis is always depicted with his birds, Isaac has assigned distinctive items to the iconic figures in his life -- namely, my parents.
It's seldom that you hear him say "Opa" without an immediately accompanying "guitar," and "Oma" and "apple pie" are usually uttered in the same breath. Perhaps he uses these identifying traits to fix my parents in his memory, because he doesn't see them often enough for them to be fully-fledged or well-rounded human beings? Or maybe he just really likes music and pie?
