Sometime back in the spring, Isaac noticed stop lights. He knew his colors, and he was interested in driving, so it was no surprise when he learned to say, "Red light, stop! Green light, go! Yellow light, slow down!"
Earlier this week I made a right-hand turn at a red light, which of course Isaac has seen me do many times. But this particular time I didn't come to a stop first -- I glanced to my left, saw that the street was completely empty, and proceeded to make the turn without pausing.
From the back seat, Isaac happily declared, "Red light, go!"
One of these days he's going to notice that a yellow light doesn't actually mean "slow down."
