New pictures

There have been many new pictures added to the album. I just started this album in September, and it already has 27 photos -- that's twice as many photos as I usually upload per month. I hope I haven't glutted the market.

Well, it's been a busy month with plenty of photo opportunities -- a second birthday, two trips to the fair, and visits with both great-grandmothers.

You may wonder what Isaac liked best at the fair (besides the carnival lights). He liked the people who accompanied him, he liked the animals, and he liked the food, but he loved the vehicle-viewing opportunities.

His favorites were the model railroad layout with the quarry in the middle, complete with bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucks; the collections of Hot Wheels and other model vehicles, all carefully laid out in glass cases for the judges; and the kiddie carnival rides, especially the motorcycles that drove around in an endless circle and the psychedelic train, which I rode with him.

He likes to reminisce about the fair, too. "Talk about fair," he requests, and I oblige. I ask him what foods Aunt Erica shared with him, and after thinking about it, he says, "Cinnamon roll." A moment after that, he yells, "Milkshake!" I ask him if he liked the milkshake, and he says, "Yeah. Tastes like milk."
