A few recent remarks:

Isaac and I were having a fun time walking with the dog at a waterfront park when he suddenly (and clearly inaccurately) announced, "I don't like Point Isabel. I like home!"

We were playing in the garden one evening before dinner when Isaac gestured toward a flower bed and said, "Look at yard. Pretty cool yard!"

Isaac understands that we can hear him through the baby monitor, and for months now he's called out things like "Need Mama!" or "Daddy come!" Last night, however, he had a very hard time falling asleep, and he cut right to the heart of the matter -- he said, "Need help sleeping!"
